Welcome to The 2018 IEEE 13th Nanotechnology Materials & Devices Conference (NMDC 2018) being held in Portland, Oregon, USA on 14-17 October, 2018. The conference at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Downtown hotel.

Airport Transportation options include:

  • MAX light rail from the airport runs regularly from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM. The Hotel is 2 blocks from the Skidmore Fountain MAX stop. Cost is 2.50 USD.
  • Taxi fare is approx. 30 USD
  • Lyft/Uber fare is approx. 20-30 USD

Registration desk will be located on the Mezzanine level -schedule – look for signs;

Each night there is an evening event after the evening reception put on by the hotel.
If you are staying with the hotel the nightly reception is free. If are not staying at the hotel then the reception is cash bar. You may purchase a ticket at the front desk for $25. You are most welcome to attend the reception, located in the Arcadian Garden.

Sunday we will kick off the conference with a Welcome Reception from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm followed by a Careers Panel.

Wednesday evening in the conference Awards Banquet held at Portland State University after optional Lab Tours at PSU. There is information on the website: Portland State University Lab Tours and in the proceedings. If you do not want to partake of the Lab Tours, there is the hotel’s evening reception. Dinner starts at 7:00 pm. A map on how to get to the dinner is on the website here.
