NMDC 2021
Welcome to the 16th IEEE Nanotechnology Materials and Devices Conference (IEEE NMDC 2021)!
UPDATE: To better accommodate projected Canadian re-opening Conference has been
POSTPONED to December 12-15, 2021
Early registration open has been postponed to August 31.
Late-Breaking-News Abstract Submission OPEN – Deadline Oct 15.
IEEE NMDC 2021 sponsored by IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC) will be held in the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel located in the center of Vancouver, BC, Canada from October 17th to 20th, 2021 December 12th to 15th, 2021. The conference will be co-located with another conference – IEEE CEIDP (Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena) sponsored by the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS).
IEEE NMDC is a well-received international conference and has been held annually rotating in different parts of the world, having the last two editions in Stockholm, Sweden in 2019 and Virtually (due to COVID-19 restrictions) in 2020. IEEE NMDC aims to highlight current work and future directions in nanotechnology-related research in the areas of nanomaterials and fabrications, nanoelectronics, nano-energy, packaging, nanophotonics, bioengineering, modeling and simulation, devices, and integration. This conference brings together key researchers from every sector in the nanotechnology research field, with a special focus on materials and devices.
Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality papers reporting original results under the broad theme, and in all areas of nanotechnology materials and devices. Best Conference Papers and Best Student Papers will be awarded. See the Call for Papers here.
IEEE NMDC 2021 offers an excellent opportunity for companies with links to nanotechnology to showcase their products and services. Exhibition space is available at the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel near the meeting space for the conference technical program. Information on exhibiting can be found here.

COVID-19 VACCINATION SITUATION IN VANCOUVER:
The city of Vancouver in British Columbia, as in the rest of Canada, has a clear and official immunization plan to vaccine its population to stop COVID-19 and prevent any risk of spread in that location. By the time of the conference in 2021, Vancouver and British Columbia expect to have completed the vaccination of all its population (see projection Here). All NMDC 2021 participants seeking to travel to Vancouver are encouraged to check with the Canadian government on border status and confirm with their own local government any potential travel restrictions on leaving and returning before organizing their trip.
